ENID — An Enid company that manufactures cam and groove fittings is expanding internationally.
PT Coupling Co., 1414 E. Willow, has expanded to operations in three international locations and another possible Europe location in 2011.
The company now has operations in Monterrey, Mexico, Costa Rica and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
“(Our business is) seeing a pretty nice recovery,” said Matt Parrish, vice president of Parrish Manufacturing Group. “There’s been some demand in the U.S. for our product as well as our products around the world. So that’s definitely helping us out.”
PT Coupling was established in 1961 in order to market the products manufactured by Central Machine Tool, a separate entity along with PT Coupling under Parrish Manufacturing Group.
Amy Parrish, marketing director for Parrish Manufacturing Group, said officials from Stainless Steel Factory F.A. de C.V. from Mexico City toured the company’s Enid facilities Tuesday and will tour their facilities in Blackwell today.
Parrish said Parrish Manufacturing Group’s international sales manager, Carlos Vermudez, has helped the company take off on an international front.
“He’s kind of opened up the door for us for all these companies, because he’s from Brazil and speaks about five different languages,” Amy Parrish said.
According to Parrish Manufacturing Group’s state-of-the-company newsletter, the company currently is primarily focused on PT Coupling’s international sales. The company hopes the higher demand will lead to more production facilities.
